Sorry to put it out there bluntly, but we know no other way. It is what we do. You do not have to be all fancy or decadent when it comes to making dessert, but people all over the place now think that they have to. Thanks in large part to the advice of all these famous chefs on the freaking Food Network, the expectations are way too high. Like you need chocolate chip cookie recipes that Emeril or someone created. Just mix them up yourself. Sugar. Milk. Flour. Eggs. There you go. There is your dough right there.

Or, better yet, you can just buy chocolate chip cookies at the store. There are plenty of good brands that people know and love. If you try one bag after another, you'll come to the same conclusion. The same basic conclusion. One chocolate chip cookie is the same as all the rest. You have no idea how easy this is going to be for you once you stop worrying about how society views you. Enjoy the damn desserts you have out there for you and stop worrying about needless crap.
